The defending champion, Spain, is in group D, along with Croatia, Czech, and Turkey. Germany, the World Cup 2014 champion will play in group C with Northern Ireland, Ukraine and Poland. England is in group B with Russia, Wales, and Slovakia. Italy is in group E with Belgia, Ireland, and Sweden. Christian Ronaldo team, Portugal, is in group F with Iceland, Austria, and Hungaria. I think this is an ideal draw, there's no "hell group", each favourite champion candidate play in different group and will not "kill" each other in group fase.
Spain and Germany are the favourite champion candidate, because they are previous champion of europe and world cup. Spain squad is has several change, they are no longer bring Xavi and Fernando Torres which are also the key players in euro 2012. Germany still keep players in World Cup 2014. It will be interesting to see Spain with new team. Spain bring a lot new player in their squad, and maybe they are still struggling to blend and make strong team like 2012 national team. Germany come to France with high confidence, because they are 2014 World Champion in Brazil, beat Brazil. But I think anything could happen, cause the other countries like Italy, England who has great performance in qualification, or France also have desire to win The European Cup title. And don't forget Portugal with Christian Ronaldo and Pepe will also try to win 2016 European Cup title, because maybe this is their last chance to win European cup title before they retired from football national team.
