Joey Alexander, a "Gift from God", The First and The Youngest Indonesian Jazz Musician Nominated in Grammy Award

Joey Alexander, 12 years old, Young Jazz Pianist is shocked the world by nominated in 2016 Grammy Award for Jazz category, "Best instrumental jazz and best improvised jazz solo". Do you know that Joey Alexander is from Indonesia? Yes, he is from Indonesia. He is the first Indonesian Musician that really go international and nominated in Grammy Award ever, and he is just 12 years old. His first album (made when he was 11 yrs) tittled,"My Favourite Things" was released on 12 May, 2015, and this album directly nominated in Grammy Award 2016.

Josiah Alexander Sila, Joey's full name, was born in Denpasar city, Bali - Indonesia. His parents, Denny Sila and Farah Leonora ran a tourism business. His parents have described their son's talents as a "Gift from God". It is hard to understand, how a 12 years old kid playing jazz music like that, with such a difficult improvisation and make first album and directly nominated in Grammy Award the next year.  Yes, he is a "Gift from God".
